Letter from the Pastor
January 2012
It’s the start of a new year so it’s time to look ahead and consider what we as a fellowship wish to achieve for our Lord’s glory. I am not a fan of new year resolutions as such, my personal experience is that they inevitably lead to disappointment. However I do believe in faith-driven, biblically inspired vision and goals. As a body of believers we constantly need to light our fires of enthusiasm and we can do this by prayerfully permitting God’s Word to ignite in us a sense of calling and urgency to the task of fulfilling the great commission of sharing the gospel and making disciples of those who come to believe by faith. This last year we have been blessed tremendously by our Lord. We have experienced and been encouraged in more ways than we can count. I have been encouraged greatly by the personal growth and development that is so obvious in many of your lives and as well the Lord has continued to add to our numbers with like-minded believers and those who are new in Christ (Praise God). Still the year ahead will present new challenges and will mean that we all have to pull together to achieve more. Let’s trust the Lord and King of the Church to show each one of us, just one other person to share with and give an account of the hope that is within us this year; that our church family will grow even larger. Not because bigger is always better but because we dream of doing even more for the glory of our wonderful saviour and Lord Jesus. Blessings, Ian P.S. Thanks everyone for your constant prayers and support as Glenys and I do battle with our own sinful hearts, the world and the devil.
